Network Catalyst Grant Success!

In 2016, a cross-Canada team of more than 80 researchers, collaborators and knowledge users, as well as 20 partners/consumer groups, received $600,000 from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)-Institute for Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis (IMHA) to establish the Canadian MSK Rehab Research Network. Combined with multi-partner cash and in-kind contributions totaling over $1.5 million, these funds will support the network and its members for the next three years as they strive to address the large pain and disability burden caused by bones, joints, muscles, and the nerves problems. With the administrative hub housed in Western's Bone and Joint Institute, the virtual network will strengthen musculoskeletal research in Canada.
