The webinar featured presentations from Dr. Aliki Thomas, Dr. Katie Kowalski, and Dr. Joy MacDermid, alongside patient partners Nancy Davies and Beccy Roden, who shared experiences and examples of meaningful engagement in MSK rehab research.

This session focused on what trainees need to know about structuring and presenting the results section of a manuscript. The webinar featured a presentation from Dr. Pavlos Bobos on key considerations for writing clear and rigorous results, followed by Dr. Dylan Kobsar, who discussed best practices for formatting tables and figures to effectively communicate data within the results section.
Writing Smarter: Leveraging Technology for Impactful Publications – Webinar
On March 17, 2025, the Canadian MSK Rehab Research Network hosted Writing Smarter: Leveraging Technology for Impactful Publications as the second session in the Writing and Publication Online Webinar Series. This session highlighted digital tools that can support trainees in the academic writing process. The webinar featured presentations from Dr. David Walton on the use of ChatGPT for generating humanlike dialogue, Javad Raeesi on customizing academic writing with Claude AI, Sara Stretton on creating flow charts and visuals using Lucidchart, and Temitope Osifeso on integrating design tools within Canva to simplify content creation.

On February 5, 2025, the Canadian MSK Rehab Research Network hosted the Understanding the Journal Review Process: Views from Editorial Review Members – Webinar as the first session from the Writing and Publication Online Webinar Series. The session included a presentation from Dr. Clare Ardern on the peer review process, a presentation from Dr. Joy MacDermid on how to select a journal, and a 20-minute Q&A period with the panel members Dr. Trevor Birmingham, Dr. Tara Packham, Dr. Alison Clouthier, and Dr. Jean-Sebastien Roy. The session was moderated by Dr. Dylan Kobsar.
