Trainees play a vital role in aspects of the Network’s operations. One of the main goals of the Network is to foster new and innovative training opportunities for graduate students and New Investigators.
One of the Network’s major initiatives is our annual Trainee Awards competition that provides financial assistance or experiential learning opportunities to students across Canada with outstanding potential to contribute to musculoskeletal health rehabilitation research.

2019 UBC Summer School Attendees
The Canadian MSK Rehab Research Network was proud to be part of the University of British Columbia’s OBDAF Summer School on Wearable Sensors for Balance and Movement.
This interactive initiative brought together over 40 trainees from various programs and research disciplines to collaborate on a group project while attending seminars from speakers who utilize wearable, web and mobile technologies in rehabilitation research.
The Canadian MSK Rehab Research Network provided financial assistance for twelve students to attend the conference from across Canada, helping the summer school become a national initiative.
