Digital tools and automation create new challenges for researchers to navigate when conducting virtual surveys. A significant concern is the rising number of bots and fraudulent data. Due to the increase in AI, it is critical to understand how to maintain quality data.
The University of Waterloo will be hosting a round table discussion on bots and fraudulent data in survey research. Best practices for detecting and preventing bot participation, identifying and cleaning fraudulent data, and addressing the challenges posed by imposter respondents will be explored during the session.
