One of the Network’s key initiatives to improve rehabilitation research in Canada is our annual Project/Team Development Grant Awards Competition.
Competitions are held annually to provide funding for early stage, high impact MSK research projects, and generates opportunities for trainees and young investigators to gain valuable experience in the field. We aim to encourage new transdisciplinary research initiatives, with an emphasis on collaboration across Canada.

Network Statement on COVID-19
On behalf of the Canadian MSK Rehab Research Network’s Leadership Committee, we would like to assure our members that the Network is continuing our operations through the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The Network’s administrative hub is based at Western University and all of our administrative processes are continuing uninterrupted. Our PI team, Network Coordinator and most committees will continue to operate, however some financial services may be delayed. We appreciate your patience during this time.
While in-person meetings and collaborations are invaluable to research efforts, our virtual Network is well positioned to manage the current public health crisis. Most of the Network’s correspondence including committee meetings and grant review panels have always operated via web conference software. In June 2020 we partnered with the Bone and Joint Institute at Western University to co-host a successful virtual conference (cbjc.ca).
We are happy to assist any of our Network members with facilitating virtual meetings, arranging calls or forming new research teams. Our Network Coordinator is available to chair conference calls, take meeting minutes or assist with other remote tasks you may need help with. Any comments or questions can be directed to rehabnet@uwo.ca
With the support of our national partners and researchers, we have developed a resource database to support researchers, clinicians, patients and community members who are isolated and living with mobility challenges.
