kNOw-PAIN Conference – Western University

Registration for the free kNOw-PAIN Conference is now open! The event is open to all who are interested, including researchers, clinicians, patients, and others.

The conference will focus on interdisciplinary approaches to pain research and topic highlights include neuropathic pain, psychedelics in pain, and a showcase of local pain research and clinics. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Andrew Rice and attendees will learn from leading experts in pain research.

When: 9am-4pm, March 31, 2025

9th Edition of PAINtalks

PAINtalks aims to offer the public presentations in the field of pain! This bilingual initiative (simultaneous translation available), free and open to all, is inspired by “TED” type presentations. The speakers will discuss controversies and advances in the field of pain!

When: November 7, 2024, at 6:30pm (EDT)
Where: Online or in person (Gésù, Montréal, Québec, 1200 rue Bleury, Montréal). 400 seats on site or a webcast.

North American Pain School (NAPS)

The North American Pain School (NAPS) will be taking place in Montebello, Canada from June 22-27, 2025.

The North American Pain School, or NAPS, brings together leading experts in the fields of pain research and management to provide a unique educational and networking experience for the next generation of basic science and clinical pain researchers.

NAPS is open to graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and clinician-scientists, enrolled on a full time basis in a pain research training program.

PAINtalks 2024

The Canadian MSK Rehab Research Network will be partnering with PAINtalks hosted by the Quebec Network of Junior Pain Investigators. The 9th edition of PAINtalks will take place via a hybrid format from the Gesù venue in Montreal on November 7th, 2024, at 6:30pm ET.

PAINtalks is a bilingual initiative, free and open to the public that utilizes TED-style presentations focused on the field of pain. Speakers are asked to discuss controversies and advancements in the field of pain.

Quebec Back Pain Consortium Data

Data Access

Anonymized and standardized data collected by the Quebec Back Pain Consortium from more than 6700 participants with low back pain are now available to be used by researchers to further contribute to chronic pain research.
